Join us at the farm for the following workshops:

First Aid-Naturally

Learn to identify and plant a selection of herbs that are handy in the case of emergency. You will learn the terminology for basic natural first aid and leave with a list of tools and herbs with which to stock your Herbal First Aid kit. Cut yourself in the kitchen? Find out the common weed that will stop the bleeding. Your child has a stubborn splinter and you would rather not cut it out? Learn the herb in your backyard that can be used to draw it out. — 2 hours, $20

Girl's Day Out

Just for fun! Join us at the farm for a day of natural beauty. Spend a warm summer afternoon doing herbal hand and foot soaks, herbal facials and learn to use henna both for your hair and for body decoration. — 3 hours, $15

Herbal Skin Care

Touch, taste and learn to identify a selection of herbs that have a special affinity for our skin. This workshop includes an hour long facial and skin care instruction. You will leave with the knowledge to begin making your own customized skin care from garden fresh produce. Full facial kit supplied ($20 value) includes Cleansing Grains, Facial Steam herbs, Gotu Kola mask, Body Cream (Lavender or Citrus) and Lip Balm (Orange or Peppermint). Herbs 101

Overwhelmed by all the bottles, capsules and oils at the health food store? Ever wondered if you could make your own healing remedies on your own? In this workshop we'll discuss basic terminology and techniques for the home herbalist. Learn to create your own tinctures, oils, and teas. Together we will cover basic harvest, drying, processing and storage techniques required to maintain the beneficial constituents of your herbs and herbal preparations. — 3 hours, $30

Herbs for Better Sleep and Lower Stress

Good sleep is very important to our health. Taste, touch and learn to identify a class of herbs called the nervines that support and nourish our nervous system. In this workshop you will learn about nutritional choices as well as herbal supplements that can help us manage day to day stress and head off our chronic inability to rest. Each participant will make their own relaxing sleep pillow. — 2.5 hours, $35

Open House- Lunch, Farm Tour and Tasting

Join us for a tour of our farm on a beautiful summer afternoon. Learn the wonders of the honeybee while touring our honey operation. Walk the herb plots and see everything in bloom while learning about our sustainable system that keeps everything chemical free and focuses on soil health. Afterwards, sit down with us for a picnic lunch of fresh, homemade, organic food followed by a guided tasting of all the infused honey varieties that we make here at the farm. LIMIT OF 30 RESERVATIONS — 4-5 hours, $17

Plant Communication Experience Workshop

To many, the idea of plant communication is intimidating, too “hippy-dippy” or even blasphemous! In this workshop we will explore the scientific, folkloric and energy based methods of human/plant communication. We will discuss plant spirit work. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn the basics of flower essences, collecting our own individual flowers and creating a class essence that each of us will take away with him/her. This will be an outside workshop involving personal time alone with a plant of your choice to practice your communication skills. — 2.5 hours, $20
